John 9:1-41
New Vision

In his travels, Jesus heals a blind man. Jesus interrupts his life with a new way of seeing the world. But the religious leaders have a lot of questions. By healing on the Sabbath, Jesus disrupts the way things are supposed to be done. You can follow the religious leaders' objections through three re-tellings of the story. They just aren't getting the answers they want to hear. In our lives today, Jesus offers us a chance to see and hear the world differently. Instead of divisions and arguments, Jesus offers healing, and a new way of doing things. Are we going to be the ones who question the healing and put up obstacles to new possibilities? Or are we going to be the ones who witness to the goodness of Jesus' ways, the truth of Jesus' healing, the ones who challenge others, "Do you also want to become his disciples?"
